Rusted does not take place on earth. The setting itself is modeled after earth, but the geography, the history, and the overall details are different. Think of this as an “alternate reality” tale, one where clockwork robots can exist alongside sleek and shiny killing machines and nuclear weaponry, where gunpowder revolvers still exist in harmony with rayguns and beam weapons.

This is a fantasy setting, but not your typical “orcs and elves” type. No, this is something exceedingly more familiar and closer to home.  The flavor has been… changed …just enough to be new.

As the details of the setting are revealed throughout the story, this page will reflect what’s known.
